The 2022 MBC Drama Awards is returning this year after three years with three top actors confirmed for attendance: Shin Hye-sun, Lee Jin-wook, and Lee Se-young.
The star-studded night of the 2022 MBC Drama Awards will take place on December 30.
Drama Awards Return In New Venue at MBC Media Center
The highly-anticipated award show will return in a new venue at the MBC Media Center in Digital Media City, Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
The MBC Drama Awards were last held in 2019 but had to be put on hold for the last few years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2022 Set To Highlight MBC’S Top Acting Performances
A representative for the awards stated that the ceremony will be "a brilliant festival to decorate another year of splendid dramas and excellent performances by actors."
MBC plans to make the return of the awards a grand celebration with preparations in full swing.
The nominees for the awards have not yet been announced but MBC promises many talented actors and actresses on the list.
Shin Hye-sun, Lee Jin-wook, and Lee Se-young Expected to Shine
This year's attendance list includes some of South Korea's top actors: Shin Hye-sun, Lee Jin-wook, and Lee Se-young.
Shin Hye-sun is known for her diverse roles in dramas such as "Mr. Queen," "Thirty But Seventeen," and "Stranger."
Lee Jin-wook is known for his roles in “Voice,” “Nine: Nine Time Travels,” and “I Need Romance.”
Lee Se-young has captivated audiences in "The Red Sleeve," "Kairos," and "Memorist."
Celebrities Expected to Join 2022 Attendance
MBC also hinted at the possibility of many more top Hallyu stars attending the awards ceremony.
