Paramount has released the first official trailer for its upcoming animated prequel to the Transformers movie franchise, titled "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts." The trailer offers a glimpse into the early days of Optimus Prime and Megatron before they became the iconic leaders of the Autobots and Decepticons.
Pre-War Cybertron and the Origin of Optimus Prime and Megatron
The trailer reveals that the movie will explore the pre-war Cybertron, where Optimus Prime was known as Orion Pax and Megatron was D-16. The two characters are depicted as allies, showcasing a different side to their relationship before the outbreak of war.
The First Team of Autobots
The trailer also introduces the full lineup of Optimus Prime's first team of Autobots, including Bumblebee, Wheeljack, and Arcee. These characters will play a pivotal role in the defense of Cybertron against the Decepticons.
A Lighthearted Tone
Despite the heavy subject matter, the trailer suggests that "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" will have a lighthearted tone, with plenty of humor and action.
