Washington Wizards All-Star Forward Out for Remainder of 2022-23 Season
February 8, 2022 - Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right wrist, the team announced today.
The injury occurred during Wednesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder when Beal landed awkwardly on his wrist after attempting a rebound.
Beal is averaging 23.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game this season. He was selected as an All-Star for the third time in his career earlier this month.
The Wizards are 24-28 this season and currently ninth in the Eastern Conference standings. They will host the Golden State Warriors on Friday night.
